trinity term

So...I thought that people who even bother to read my lj probably would love (okay like) to know what's in plans for me this term. First off, I'm rowing, yes, in 1st Eights which means I will have NO social life whatsoever.

Here's the schedule:

Monday: double outing 6.30pm-9
Tuesday: 7.30am Erg session
Wednesday: 7.30am weight circuits + double outing
Thursday: nothing
Friday: double outing 6.30pm-9
Saturday:double outing 8am
Sunday: double outing 8am

see what i mean by no time?

i'm really hitting my EU course pretty hard, i'm not so keen on my physical chemistry course though.

Cool news: I might be going to mexico on a mission trip this summer AND my thanksgiving plans are teh best...thanksgiving near the DMZ zone between south and north korea. so if the commies decide to declare war anytime soon, i'm screwed. :P

so anyway, i hope everyone is excited and busy about their upcoming plans in life as i am.

teamfranken

GAH! I LOVE AL FRANKEN!
so i've been reading my flatmate's copy of 'Lies and the Lying Liars who tell them'. I've been listening to the Al Franken show off of itunes, but it's rather dry and focuses more on the interviewee rather than Al, but i didn't realise how EFFING funny dear ole Al is- and TeamFranken, how genius is that?

anyway, i'm urging and encouraging everyone to start reading franken's books b/c they're eerily good and i like how he refutes argumenents with facts which are terribly funny at the same time. I also don't think he's a crazed, rabid right winger like many tout him to be, he's actually quite reasonable in his arguments and sane-ish.

discuss.

happy new year's!

so basically, priscilla came and we're hanging out at my cousin's place right now. we just got back from delphi...apparently the "navel of the entire world" according to our tour guide who like to say "precisely, unique, and veddy nice" far too often for my sanity.
we were at poros, hydra for two days, and spetses for new year's. our new year's was possibly the most boring, yet interesting new year's you can have. the island was almost entirely deserted and refused to open up a cafe for us to celebrate the new year's watching some delicious fireworks on the telly. instead we sat outside, priscilla drank hot chocolate, and we watched some of the most pitiful displays of fireworks i've seen in my entire life. on the upside, we had one of the most enlightening conversations of our friendship. so it was "veddy nice".
tomorrow we're hopping to aegina and hopefully enjoying fine weather and ruins there. after that we have a two day trip to meteora. fun stuff. i'm going to enjoy some hot chocolate and rum, then watch a movie.
