when in rome...

don't do anything stupid...like walk in front of the buses and then smile. actually did that and they stopped for me. that's what i like about rome: pedestrians actually do have the right of way.

the only reason i'm posting is b/c it's fairly early and everyone else is traipsing about the ancient brickwork of the romans. quite literally. i was walking on some bricks that were set during hadrian's time. thus far, i've visited the vatican: museum, st. paul's basilica, piazza san pietro.

i know how to say several phrases but i'll post them when the guy behind me isn't glaring at me for daring to post this while he needs to check his precious email.

today i'm visiting the colloseum and the villa di borghese. fantastico!
